The Gateway 3018GZ

The Gateway 3018GZ is one good laptop notebook that have my requirements for a laptop.

It is about 1.2 inches thick, so you see it is not so bad for a portable laptop computer. I love its 14.1-inch widescreen display. I am not aware of its resolution, but trust me, i know it is not a low one. Come to talk about its weight as an average portable laptop computer, it weighs 5.25 pounds. I should also tell you about its inbuilt WLAN of 802.11g, and its DVD/CD-RW combination drive for those who love rewriting videos, and DVDs. And for those who are multimedia freaked, you need to see its 4-in-1 flash memory card reader, when you use it in transferring data, and photos. But discourangingly, it is quite expensive for a retail price of $999.99.

The Gateway 4042GZ and 4540GZ

Yes these are what i call ultraportable laptops. They are about 1-inch thick, but they weigh 5.5 pounds, which is a little more than the Gateway 3018GZ. It possesses a larger screen size of 15-inch LCD screen display. You will absolutely love its display. Its Network connections includes an inbuilt WLAN, and a DVD+/-RW drive multi format type for DVD pros, and a 4-in-1 flash memory card reader, if you are interested in viewing transferring of data from peripherals Annoyingly, they all seem expensive.

The Gateway 7422GX and the 7320GZ

These laptop computer models have some features not present in the previous one.

These laptops uses a Mobile Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64-bit 3400+ processor, which is very fast, and desirable for office users. So if you are in need of an office laptop, buy any of these two. It has a 6-in-1 memory card reader, with a toatl view on a 15.4 inch widescreen, which practically gives you an impressive sight. Coupled with a double-layer DVD+/-RW reader, you are on the go. It also did not rule out a WLAN connection. The major difference in these two is that the 7422GX gets an ATI Mobility RADEON 9550 graphics card, but the 7320GZ gets an Intel Extreme Graphics 3D card.
